Research description
- A randomized controlled trial on effects of diary protein products on liver disease severity and metabolism in patients Witt Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (DAIPRO-NAFLD)
NAFLD is strongly associated with metabolic dysfunction and later development of diabetes. Currently, the only treatment of NAFLD is weight loss. We will conduct a clinical trial investigating the effects of dairy protein products on NAFLD severity and metabolic function in obese but otherwise healthy patients.
