Research titel and description

Inflammatory resolution in cardiometabolic health and disease
Our research investigates a connection between inflammatory resolution pathways and the development of diabetes in different metabolic phenotypes of people. Although obesity is a known risk for diabetes, not all obese individuals develop the disease. This hypothesis suggests that the ability to regulate inflammation plays a crucial role in determining an individual's susceptibility to diabetes. Those with efficient inflammatory resolution pathways may exhibit a protective phenotype, while individuals with compromised resolution may be more prone to developing diabetes. Investigating these pathways aims to uncover the underlying mechanisms and potentially contribute to the development of targeted interventions for diabetes prevention and management.
