Research description
The primary focus of my research is to understand the interplay between metabolism and the immune system. Taking advantage of signalling pathwayanalyses, human cell models mimicking the cellular communication and in house immune- and FRET assays, my group and I aim to understand the development of diabetic complications and to evaluate potential treatment targets.
