Research description

• Cardiac and hepatic metabolic flexibility in Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD)
  MAFLD and type 2 diabetes (T2D) are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
  We are investigating patients with T2D with and without MAFLD to determine differences between the two groups with respect to cardiac and hepatic fatty acid utilisation and hepatic VLDL-triglyceride kinetics in combination with adipose and skeletal muscle lipid metabolism.
