Research description

• Identification of aptamer biomarkers in patients with metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD)
  MAFLD is heavily associated with the global obesity epidemic, metabolic syndrome and T2DM with an estimated 25% of the adult population affected by this disease. Precise biomarkers could help identify the patients with a high risk of progression and could be implemented as a screening tool in groups at risk (eg. diabetics, obese or individuals with metabolic dysfunction).
