Research description
I am an epidemiologist with a strong methodological background in causal inference methods and objective dietary assessment using food intake biomarkers.
I apply these methods to study how diet, particularly plant-based diets, impact risk of developing type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer in the general populations and how these diets impact development of complications in people with type 2 diabetes.
