• Effect of Treatment with Finerenone on Cadio-Renal Target Organ Damage in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes – A Randomized Trial (FineCaRe)
  I investigate the effect of the drug finerenone on measures of cardiovascular, kidney and eye disease in people with type 2 diabetes. Finerenone has been shown to reduce the risk of both cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease and eye disease in patients with diabetes, but the mechanisms are unknown and combination with other antidiabetic drugs are lacking. The project is completed in collaboration with PhD student Lene Halkjær.
