Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus hosts an epidemiological research group including researchers with clinical background and those with a more technical background (statistics or bioinformatics). These researchers work closely with the "cross-sectoral unit" (Danish) at Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus.

In addition to patient-centered epidemiological studies, there is a substantial research in methodological developments.
